permanent makeup

The pigment will appear sharp and dark immediately following the procedure because the pigment is sitting on top of the skin and has not yet settled. The color will soften gradually, fading 50% within the first 7 days. Do not be alarmed if you see pigment as you cleanse or apply aftercare. This is normal. Once the healing begins, you will experience drying and flaking. This is the color and skin being naturally exfoliated.

You will need to schedule a touchup appointment 6-8 weeks following the initial service to make any adjustments to shape, color and fill in any pigment that may have had poor retention. It is recommended to refresh your permanent makeup every 12-18 months to avoid significant fading.

This service is not for you if:
You are pregnant or nursing

You have had botox within 2 weeks of your service
You have had a chemical peel within 1 month of your service

What is permanent makeup?

Microblading, nano brows and eyeliner are cosmetic permanent procedures inserting pigment into the basal layer of the epidermis. Successful color saturation and retention may vary due to skin type, texture, hidden scar tissue, previous permanent makeup or laser treatments. The implanted pigment can change and will fade over time so annual touch ups are recommended. The goal is a natural enhancement. We use your brow hair, bone structure and preference to create an outline for your service. We won’t move forward with anything until we love the outline. Following the outline we apply a topical numbing agent to make the service comfortable.

BROW AFTERCARE

One hour following the brow procedure, wipe your brows with a clean, damp paper towel and apply a very thin layer of a light, neutral lotion. Before bed tonight, please gently wash your brows using a light, neutral soap. We recommend a creme cleanser. Total wet time should be 60 seconds per day. After, blot with a clean paper towel, then apply lotion twice daily for 7-10 days to prevent scabs from forming. You may also apply lotion throughout the day if they are feeling dry or itchy. If scabbing does occur, refrain from picking.

Your new eyebrows will go through several phases during the healing process. The pigment will appear sharp and dark immediately following the procedure. The pigment is sitting on top of the skin and has not settled yet. The color will soften gradually. Do not be alarmed if you see pigment as you cleanse or apply aftercare. This is normal. Once the healing begins, you will experience drying and flaking. This is the color and skin being naturally exfoliated. Once all peeling and flaking is done you may resume your normal routine, however you should continue to use gentle products on your brows.
